Prior to G8 Capital, Evan co-founded MoneyLine Lending Services in 1996, which provides regional and national banks with outsourced mortgage lending services including loan origination, processing, underwriting, delivery to secondary markets, and post-closing/interim servicing functions. As CEO of MoneyLine, Evan oversaw the company’s dramatic growth, whose clients eventually included 50 bank clients nationwide, before selling the company in 2006 to Genpact, a spin-off of GE Capital. In 2002, MoneyLine was featured in Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 500,” a report that ranks America’s fastest growing private companies.Evan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from Brigham Young University.
Gary Bechtel serves as President of Money360, responsible for developing and executing the company’s expansion strategy.Prior to joining the Company, he was Chief Lending/Originations Officer of CU Business Partners, LLC, the nation’s largest credit union service organization (CUSO). Previously, Gary held management or production positions with Grubb & Ellis Company, Meridian Capital, Johnson Capital, FINOVA Realty Capital, Pacific Southwest Realty Services and Hometown Commercial Capital.Gary began his career with the Alison Company and over the past twenty nine years has been involved in all aspects of the commercial real estate finance industry as a lender and an intermediary, including the origination, underwriting, structuring, placement and closing of over $8B in commercial debt transactions utilizing various debt structures which included permanent, bridge, equity, mezzanine and construction on transactions of $1M to $250M. These transactions were placed with a variety of capital sources including life companies, commercial banks, and equity and mezzanine funds, on property types that included office, retail, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, self storage and manufactured housing. He is or has been a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, California Mortgage Bankers Association, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and International Council of Shopping Centers. Gary has spoken at numerous industry events and written articles or has been quoted in a number of regional and national publications.
Dan serves as Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of Money360, responsible for operations.Prior to joining Money360, Dan worked for PIMCO, the largest bond manager in the world with $2 trillion of assets under management. Dan oversaw $15 billion in managed assets across a wide range of investment strategies, advising institutional clients with respect to their residential and commercial mortgage allocations. Prior to joining PIMCO, Dan worked for several years on Wall Street in various roles ranging from sell-side research to investment banking.Dan earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School, where his coursework emphasized commercial real estate valuation and finance. Dan also earned a Master of Public Policy degree from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a Master of Accountancy degree from Brigham Young University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, also from Brigham Young University. Dan holds a CFA charter and holds FINRA Series 3, 7, 63, 66, and 87 securities licenses.
Brett serves as Chief Credit Officer and Co-founder of Money360, responsible for transaction due diligence and risk management.Brett has 30 years of capital markets experience in the structuring and financing of commercial real estate. Prior to joining Money360, Brett founded European Tax Credit Corporation (ETCCorp) in 1999, a financial services company specializing in the origination and development of commercial real estate lending programs utilizing capital market funding sources and non-traditional banking facilities.Prior to organizing ETCCorp, Brett worked for over 15 years with various private equity and Wall Street groups specializing in equity and fixed-income products. During this time Brett co-originated a lending subsidiary that directed the tax-exempt lending platform of Nomura Asset Capital Corporation’s commercial real estate conduit CMBS/CDO business, one of the largest lenders in the U.S. commercial real estate market at the time.Brett earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Brigham Young University.
Jym is the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for the technology strategy and implementation at Money360. He has over 18 years of experience developing software and IT solutions for the financial industry. Prior to joining Money360, he served as the Vice President of Software Development for Genpact Mortgage Services, a division of Genpact LLC., where he designed and lead development of the Genpact Lending Solution (GLS) platform. The platform enabled Genpact to streamline and enhance mortgage processes for industry leaders such E*Trade® Mortgage, USAA®, Nationstar® Mortgage, Citibank®, and many others. He also designed and oversaw development of Genpact Document Solutions (GDS) - a document management and workflow system for MERS® (Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems) that provides significant cost savings to MERS through workflow and delivery automations for the millions of documents MERS handles each year.Jym started his career with MoneyLine Lending Services, where he designed and developed MoneyLine’s proprietary mortgage origination and workflow system called Loan Officer Live, which has since been adopted by 65 financial intuitions throughout the United States. Throughout his career, Jym has been on the front lines of designing and developing advanced workflow and orchestration systems for lending businesses that allow for transparent, efficient, and secure operations. Jym earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
Alex Vellandi serves as General Counsel of Money360, responsible for all legal aspects of Money360’s corporate and business operations. With over $15 billion in transactions and 17 years of experience in commercial real estate and finance, Alex draws from his extensive business background to provide measured and practical counsel to Money360’s senior executives and board of directors.Alex has served as an attorney with two of California’s pre-eminent law firms and as in-house counsel at leading real estate investment and financial services companies. In private practice, he has represented large corporations, developers, landlords, tenants, real property purchasers, borrowers and secured lenders on a wide range of real estate related transactions in various states.With a B.A. from the University of California at Irvine, Alex earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of California, is a California licensed real estate broker and serves in a leadership capacity for various charities and professional organizations.
Kurt serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Money360, responsible for financial reporting and investor relations.Prior to joining Money360, Kurt spent five years at Deloitte & Touche, where he led financial audit teams, completing audits on both public and private financial and investment companies including Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, US Trust, and the Capital Group Companies. Kurt was also part of the national training team for new employees at Deloitte & Touche, facilitating trainings on technical accounting pronouncements and general procedures.Prior to Deloitte & Touche, Kurt worked for Glenwood Financial Group, a private real estate investment company, and co-founded K&J Mortgage Protection Services, a company that generated leads for insurance professionals.Kurt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Laura Catalino is Senior Vice President of Investor Relations for Money360, where she establishes and maintains relationships with institutional and accredited investors, and assists them in identifying sound opportunities to meet their specific investing goals and objectives.Laura has 20 years of experience in money management and investor relations, working for private banks, institutional investment firms and public companies. She held positions of increasing responsibility in securities analysis, portfolio management, fixed-income trading, sales of securities to high-net-worth investors, and international sales of hedge fund interests to institutional investors.As an investor relations executive, Laura represented public companies to Wall Street analysts, including MP3.com (acquired by CNET), Infonet (acquired by BT Global), Titan Corporation (acquired by L-3 Communications), and HCP, Inc. (NYSE: HCP).Throughout her career, Laura has been an active real estate investor. In 2005 she made this her primary focus, concentrating on real estate acquisition, redevelopment, property management, and private lending. She currently manages real estate holdings and trust deed investments, underwrites and funds short-term loans, and connects investors seeking safe, mid-return investments with selected issuers of high-quality real estate-backed financial instruments. John Gaz serves as Director - Asset Management of Money360, responsible for all asset management aspects of Money360’s lending and servicing platforms.Prior to joining Money360, John worked in the asset management departments of Berkadia Commercial Mortgage LLC (fka GMAC Commercial Mortgage and Capmark Finance), AMRESCO Management, Inc., and The Hanford/Healy Companies. He has over 20 years of loan asset management and underwriting experience for private, publicly-traded, and government institutions, and has successfully resolved over $750 MM of CMBS and company-owned real estate loans.John earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California at Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business. Matt is the Western Regional Director of Business Development for Money360, focused on establishing and maintaining banking relationships and sourcing commercial lending opportunities.Matt has over 20 years of business development experience in the banking and finance industry. Jon Barlow brings nearly a decade of experience in marketplace lending – a practice that utilizes online platforms to match borrowers and lenders – to his role with Money360.Previously, Jon founded and served as CEO of Eaglewood Capital Management, a leading asset management firm with specialization in online and marketplace lending investment strategies.Jon received the Innovator of the Year Award at LendIt 2014 for completing the first ever securitization of P2P loans. He also assisted with the successful initial public offering of P2P Global Investments, the world’s first publicly traded peer-to-peer debt investment vehicle. A Wall Street veteran, Jon has held positions with Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers, Lehman Brothers and J.P. Morgan.
John Maute is a pioneer in the globalization of distressed real estate investing and asset management.With more than 30 years of real estate experience, John previously served as senior managing director at Situs Holdings (formerly Helios AMC), prior to its sale to Stone Point Capital.He co-founded Helios AMC, a nationally rated special servicing company, which he grew to more than $4 billion in assets under management. John also held senior positions at GMAC Commercial Mortgage where he built, bought and grew six distressed commercial real estate investment companies in five countries. An expert in developing best-practice operational controls, John has been instrumental in helping Money360 to institutionalize its back-end operations.
Hugh has been a successful real estate developer and investor for over 15 years. After retiring from a successful career in Oil Trading in 2013, Hugh has been actively involved in several real estate ventures including development, foreclosures, and distressed notes in the multi-family and commercial-industrial space. Hugh had 21 years in Executive and Leadership roles at BP, Morgan Stanley and Glencore. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and an MBA in International Business Finance from the University of Hawaii.
